The federal government is almost ready to sign a new trade agreement
with the European Union. The Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement, or
CETA, will tighten rules protecting copyright and intellectual property.
It will also lift import tariffs and open the door to sharing
technology and information. Critics of the deal say there will be
negative consequences for the cost of drugs and for the environment.
Marilyn Reid represents Citizens against CETA, and is part of a coalition asking questions about the agreement.
